Alaska: Voyage to the Bering Sea
Featured in Conde Nast Traveler

This Voyage sends you on an epic discovery of nearly 2,000 miles in the wake of Danish explorer Vitus Bering. An incredibly unique itinerary allows you to venture into ports that are very difficult to access any other way. Virtually untouched by cruise ships, these areas provide a distinct glimpse of Alaska as it was over 50 years ago. Two such destination highlights are the Katmai National Park, known for unbelievable bear viewing, and the Pribilov Islands, a haven for migrating birds.

The remote coastlines viewable throughout this journey highlight several of Alaska's most treasured landscapes. Cameras, binoculars and quick reflexes are a must as you behold a myriad of wildlife central to this region. Many areas offer prime viewing for whales, seals, reindeer, wild musk oxen and caribou. Migrating birds, such as puffins, auklets and murres, are also abundant in these areas. Further enrichment is provided in the Aleut, Yupik and Chukchi communities. These friendly native cultures provide an inimitable look into authentic Alaskan culture.

This itinerary is simply amazing! Board The Spirit of Oceanus and explore far beyond Alaska's mainstream traveler.
